Chevrolet seems to have pulled its socks, the auto maker is revitalizing its India portfolio by offering facelifts of old models. After Captiva, Tavera Neo 3, Cruze, it is time for Spark and what we heard is Chevrolet Beat will also undergo a makeover. Apart from these facelifts, the company is gearing up to launch three new models in India which include Chevrolet Sail hatchback, Chevrolet Sail sedan and Chevrolet Enjoy MPV. Coming back to Chevrolet Beat, the hatchback has been a bestseller in its segment ever since it first stepped in the Indian car market in the year 2012. After the petrol version was launched, the LPG version was rendered followed by the diesel version which has become extremely popular.
Launched at an introductory price of Rs 4.25 lakhs (ex-showroom price) the diesel version of Beat has been able to do wonders in the hatchback segment. The diesel version powered with a 936cc, three cylinder turbo diesel engine, is one of the most frugal mills present in the Indian car market. This extremely fuel economic engine delivers a mileage of more than 25 kmpl which is certified by ARAI. In order to keep the Beat mania alive, the company is testing a facelift version of the hatchback. With new rivals pouring in, it becomes necessary to revitalize old products to keep the popularity of old models intact.Chevrolet Beat Price is notable.
Upgraded version of Chevrolet Beat hatchback could sport a broader front grille and and a reworked bumper. However, this design is already available in the global model of Beat. General Motors displayed this design of Beat at one of the international motor shows. Therefore chances are high that the new facelift of Beat could don this very design. At present Chevrolet Beat is offered in three variants, the petrol engine, diesel engine, Petrol-CNG dual fuel variant.
Chevrolet hatchback which is known for its sporty design is quite popular among the younger generation thanks to the sporty stance and styling. The youthful appeal is maintained inside too, the interiors boast of the instrumentation console which is not found in Indian cars. The cramped rear seat and the small boot work well in the Chevrolet Beat hatchback. The radical styling coupled with these factors is the reasons behind the low popularity among the family small car buyers.
The 1.2 litre petrol motor that pushes out 80 Bhp of maximum power, however the diesel engine powering the hatchback comes with an engine displacement of 56 Bhp. The three cylinder diesel engine produces a high torque of 150 Nm. We hope that the new Beat will continue to woo the Indian customers. ChevroletâEUR(TM)s another hatchback; Spark is also up for a makeover. Due to high demand for diesel engine which lacks in SparkâEUR(TM)s range, the company is developing a new and more fuel economic Spark for the Indian car market. To surge the sales of Chevrolet Spark the company has taken this move, the will hopefully be launched in India by the end of this year.
