Honda Jazz, from the Japanese manufacturer Honda, represents several different motorized vehicles since 1982. The new Honda Jazz which is also known as the Honda Fit in other markets, with a fresh design and better efficiency, will be launched in the year 2015, according to the firm.
The new Honda Jazz compact crossover was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo and had its debut in November 2013 in Japan. The new global design philosophy of Honda apparently is the exciting €H DESIGN’ and this is the basic idea behind the crossover. According to the company, their focus had been on how to make their cars ‘High Tech, High Touch and High Tension’.
The new Jazz will have a new, scalable platform for it could underpin the production version of the Honda Urban SUV concept. This new platform is expected to give the car a sportier handling, but they have made it sure that it still remains comfortable for longer drives.
The new Honda Jazz is packed with a lot of features aimed at the comforts of its users, which include power steering with mounted audio controls, audio system with front and rear speakers, USB, Aux-in, FM and CD/MP3 player support, an auto volume leveller, plenty of storage options, a stylish instrument cluster, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, climate control unit, front and rear power windows.
It claims to have advanced safety features like G-CON technology with ECU, ABS with EBD and brake assist along with standard safety features. Thus the new Jazz crossover promises to deliver a more safe and secure drive.
When it comes to the engine, Honda hasn’t really offered a diesel Jazz in its line-up before. So with the new Honda Jazz, it will be offering both petrol and diesel fuel engine options. The petrol models will have the same 1.2-litre, i-VTEC petrol engine, which is similar to the models such as Brio and Amaze. It has a maximum power output of 87bhp, with a torque of 110Nm @ 4800rpm.
The diesel model is going to have 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel mill, which are the same credits as that of the models like Amaze and the new City from Honda. This engine can develop 300Nm of torque and it emits only 119g/km of CO2. The car will be launched sometime in the second quarter of 2014.
Honda Jazz, having made its Indian debut at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2014, is ready for the Indian market. The launch of this particular model by Honda can happen somewhere in March 2015. It is already being sold at the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) and has received plenty of good reviews from many auto experts and car buyers alike.
