Toyota Rush – Sturdy and Stylish

Toyota Rush is a compact SUV that would soon be launched in India. This small utility vehicle by Toyota, which is a perfect combination of style and sturdiness, has gained a positive response from all the countries where it was launched earlier.

The much awaited SUV has a rugged and sporty look from the exterior. The seven seated version was first offered in Malaysia which came in two trim levels, the 1.5 G and the 1.5 S. The 1.5 G came in both four speed automatic and five speed manual versions in Malaysia.

The main highlights of the SUV lies in the sporty look on the outside with the large front grill and the bumper with aerokit, besides the stylish integrated stop, turn signal and the reverse lamp on the rear. Besides, the rear bumper comes with an aero kit, a protector for the rear bumper and spare tyre on the rear door with sporty cover and chrome finish. The bright front projector headlamps, fog lights, chrome finish door handles, door trim, door visor, foldable and retractable wing mirrors with turn indicators give the vehicle a classy look.

Adding to the image of a stylish automobile is the huge roof rail, rear spoiler, high mounted LED stop and 16 inch alloy wheels. The protector for the rear bumper makes it scratch proof and the door visor prevents rain water from entering the SUV.

The new Toyota Rush is anticipated to come in a petrol engine with a maximum power of 108 Bhp at the rate of 6000 rpm and a maximum Torque of 141 nm at the rate of 4400 rpm. The MacPherson Strut with coil spring gives the vehicle a good suspension. Front disk rear drum brakes and tilt steering make it all the more desirable.

Coming to the interior of the much awaited SUV, the air-conditioner with climate control, seven seats, power windows, central locking with remote, remote boot, remote fuel filler, rear wiper, rear defogger, rear armrest with cup holder, adjustable steering and manual door mirrors on both the sides make it attractive. There is also a music system with 2 Din tuner and a CD player.

Toyota does not compromise when it comes to the safety measures. Toyota Rush is launched with 2 air bags, parking sensors and fog lamps. The ABS and the rear seat belts add to the safety of the passengers inside.

This much awaited SUV is a version of the Daihatsu Terios, a mini SUV released in Japan in the year 1997. It is actually the second generation of the Terios developed by Daihatsu and the fellow Japanese manufacturer, Toyota. The expected price of this SUV in India is about Rs. 9.5 lakhs.
