The Bugatti brand name was founded in France by a young man named Ettore Bugatti. Becoming a man of art, he focused on aesthetics just as much as in mechanics, and most would refer to his cars as works of art. He created his 1st auto in 1901 prior to he was 21 years old and turned to de Dietrich corporation to produce his cars and trucks, but given that Ettore was much more focused about building race cars and trucks than road autos which led to his termination with de Dietrich. He then turned to Emil Mathias only to be terminated again due to their differences. Bugatti found that he would be fortunate functioning independently without the restrictions of a contract.
Because the vehicles Bugatti had constructed have been the latest autos with substantial overall performance engines, his vehicles were regularly profitable, not to mention preferred, in racing competitions such as in Brescia with the Voiturettes Grand Prix where his team won primary, second, and third place, and a significant win with the Le Mans in 1939, amongst others. This added to the popularity of Bulgatti and had added premium to its manufacturer.
On the dawn from the Second World War, like other auto marques, Bugatti developed aircraft engines for both the French and American governments. This gave Etorre a huge capital to start production in his car or truck plant and even allowed him to rent up to a 1000 staff members, yet sooner or later, his employees ended up dissatisfied with the running conditions regardless of how favorable their benefits were definitely and had gone on a strike. Shortly, the firm found itself going broke. The last released model was in 1950 and the business was ultimately sold to Hispano-Suiza in 1963.
Right now, the company name is owned by the Volkswagen group and has utilized it for the limited production of exclusive sports cars.
