Chevrolet Enjoy is a multi purpose vehicle from Chevrolet, a leading name among the current car manufacturing companies. The Enjoy was originally named as the Wuling CN 100. General Motors, jointly with its Chinese partner Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC), launched the new Chevrolet Enjoy in May 2013 in New Delhi.
Chevrolet Enjoy looks more like a van with a prominent upper line that runs along the door handles and a lower line between the two wheels. It has a standard 2+3+3 seating arrangement. The typical Chevy front with the golden bowtie in the centre and stylish looking head lamps and fog lamps convey an imposing appearance. However, one may feel that the styling is rather bland at the rear and sides. The latest model of this car also sports roof rails, turn indicators on side mirrors, side body graphics and darkened pillars.
Chevrolet Enjoy has a turbo charged diesel variant as well as a naturally aspirated petrol engine version with four cylinders. Both the engines are paired with a five speed manual gearbox. The 1248cc diesel engine is a 1.3 litre unit that creates 76 bhp of power and 19.17 kilograms of torque, whereas the 1399cc petrol engine is a 1.4 litre unit that puts out 103 bhp of power and 13.25 kilograms of torque. The suspension spring facilitates a smooth ride even on extremely bad roads.
Chevrolet Enjoy has a spacious and luxurious beige interior. Unlike the third row of seats of most of the MPVs, the last row of seats in the Enjoy offer relatively better space and legroom. The second and third row seats can be folded flat for extra luggage space. The car comes with additional features like remote locking, power windows, power steering, reverse parking assist, Anti lock braking system and Electronic brake distribution. The air conditioner has rear vents and all the seats have headrests. The central console comes with a music player with USB and AUX ports.
Chevrolet Enjoy comes in four diesel and four petrol variants. TCDi LS 8 Seater, TCDi LS 7 Seater, TCDi LT 7 Seater and TCDi LTZ 7 Seater are the diesel variants. LS 8 Seater, LS 7 Seater, LT 7 Seater and LTZ 7 Seater are the petrol variants. These models are priced between Rs. 5.50 lakhs and Rs. 8.50 lakhs. The Enjoy comes in Velvet Red, Caviar Black, Linen Beige, Switchblade Silver, Sand Drift Grey and Summit White colours.
Both traveller and taxi markets are fascinated by this car due to its safety and competitive prices. It is competing well with prominent MPVs like the Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo and Quanto, Nissan Evalia and the compact Maruti Ertiga. People with large families should definitely consider buying this worthy car.
