Efficient and Dynamic Powertrains
The 2014 Kia Optima is available with two Theta II powerplants equipped with gasoline direct injection (GDI) technology: a 2.4-liter GDI four-cylinder or a 2.0-liter GDI turbo engine. The 2.4-liter GDI engine is found on LX, EX and SX models. However, the powerful 2.0-liter turbo GDI engine is available exclusively to the SX. A new feature of the 2014 Kia Optima is the Drive Mode Select (DMS) which is exclusive to the sporty and sleek SX variant. This advanced technology adjusts steering weight and transmission shift points, offering a customizable driving experience.
The beautifully designed interior of the vehicle features a 4.3-inch TFT screen in the instrument panel and a newly optional eight-inch navigation and telematics screen.
