Nissan Navara – Beneficial And Practical
This car is a cab version of the seven seat SUV with many if not all of the same qualities. The Nissan Navara is in competition with all the other popular models such as the VW Amarok. This particular model has a 2.5 litre dci turbo diesel engine that produces 190bhp and there is another 3.0 litre unit available. The Navara is full of many different luxuries and benefits that would not leave you lacking anything but a big hole in your pocket. The best option seems to be the first as it is a great engine and is more pocket friendly. When it comes to design, this Nissan Navara seems to be a copy of the Pathfinder in almost every way. It is a big looking machine and seems to be proud of it. All of the versions have 17 inch alloy wheels as well as side step. The Tekna have a few extras such as roof bars, chrome finished mirrors and full leather interior.
The engine has a powerful drive whatever option you go for and the 2.5 litre is fantastic going from 0-60mph in 11.3 seconds with a whole load of torque and pulling power. Considering its size and the others in the same market, this is really impressive and is more than adequate for the usual buyers of the Navara. The total torque is 450 Nm. You can also get a five speed automatic and for those looking for more power, the 3.0 litre V6 engine is a better option with 550Nm of torque. When it comes to the ride and handling then you have the option of the four wheel drive which gives the car a great ability and overall improved performance. Once you get the hang of it the steering is actually quite good even though low geared and the only bad thing that can be pointed out about the ride is its somewhat restless fidgety feel. The car is now on sale so can be bought at a very good price (from GBP17,995) for what it offers.
The whole model seems to have been manufactured for the work life where it needs to be often used for different things and so far it has done its job well. However, the negative point about this car is probably the safety rating. The Euro NCAP awarded just three stars unlike the five star Ford Ranger or the four stars VW Amarok. Safety may not be its best point but all models still come with electronic stability control and a good amount of airbags as a standard. The Nissan Navara also has great residuals. Servicing costs are also reasonable and it needs to be serviced after 18,000 miles which is impressive. The fuel consumption for the 2.5L version is 29mpg. All the versions are equipped with decent amount of standard kit like Bluetooth connectivity etc. The top of the range Outlaw comes with heated leather seats and DVD Satellite Navigation. However, it is powered by the 3.0L V6 diesel engine, which is fuel thirsty, and an automatic gearbox.
