Toyota celica’s fastest First three generation
Toyota celica is name came into auto market back in 1971.it was not designed as usual cars at that time. it was for people who wanted more than a simple transport. it dominated the market of sport subtypes of cars at that time. celica was build with a carburetter four cylinder 1.6 litter engine only in ST format.
First changes came up in 1974 with a 2 litter GT form. Initial innovation of Toyota celica was not high volume car. First enlargement of celica was done in 1974 with a life back model of GT trim. Erliar version of celica was made to impress and attract sporty lover people. Later changes has been done to make celica more roomy. The version became a sporty-tourer combined feel with more space for luggage.
As innovation goes on 2nd generation of celica was more dynamic and with rich feature. Engine came up with both ST and GT for. Ability was of 2litter.it had a perfect combination a power,safety. Its fuel economy was far better than the earlier version. when it first came in 1978 it achieved the award of “Import car of the Year”.When it comes to innovation in auto industry every manufacturer goal is to develop in three major criteria. first one is to make the new version of car more stylish, gorgeous,premium feel. Another two criteria are Power of engine and fuel economy of the car. Toyota celica innovation was not beyond this criteria,But celica first two generation was not considering the look and feel too much. To achieve the premium feel 3rd generation of celica was brought into market with a ultra stylish mood. 3rd generation of celica was more spacy and large too. with its evolutionary changes Toyota celica started to loose its sporty features. In 1983 celica was re engineering to its sporty model with GT-S model and bigger wheel,large tires and fender flares.
Front wheel driving features were first introduces in Toyota celica in 1986.this version was brought in with lot more changes and taken into a new vehicle. engine was 4 cylinder available in three form. they are ST, GT,GT-S model. First two model of engine was with 116hp and GT-S was with 135 hp. All versions of engine was 2.0 litter capacity. Some sporty features were un change and kept as like a 3rd generation of Toyota celica. Speed was relatively more smooth than other version. This version of clecia was considered a complete sport car.
