The Land Rover Freelander has been argued to be the odd one out: the ‘other’ Land Rover. Not quite as prestigious as the Range Rover or the Discovery, the Freelander is often found in farm yards and family garages. It’s spacious, simple design means it’s ideal for family motoring, whilst it’s wide range of engines doubles this model’s diversity. It’s cheap too – three year old, base models can be snapped up for as little as £9,000. So, if a stationwagon-come-workhorse is what you’re after, do your homework and you might just find yourself a bargain.
The Used Land Rover Defender is a timeless machine. Endlessly customisable, there’s an insane amount of variants peppered all over the UK’s used car markets. So if you’re looking to buy one, be sure you know the car inside out before you sign the dotted line – you don’t want any nasty surprises! Having said that, with three year old, base models fetching around £10,000, should you find yourself the Defender you want, you’ll certainly snap up a bargain compared to brand new prices.
