In the world of exotic car technological achievements, the slick and sexy Bugatti team seems to have it figured out-do something perfectly, and then simply continue upgrading the trend. Case in point-the beautiful Bugatti 16.4 Veyron.
The 16.4 Veyron boasts an alarming 1001 horsepower to back itself up, quite a charmer. Specs include 16 cylinders, and two powerful V8 engines joined at the crank. This W16 powerplant displaces 8.0-liters and has ten radiators for everything from the engine cooling systems to the air conditioning.
The top speed of this Veyron is approximately 253 miles per hour. The exotic car is capable of maintaining the speed of 253 miles per hour for about 12 minutes before it runs dry on fuel. It sucks its power from the pavement via a 4-wheel drive 7-speed dual clutch automated manual transmission.
It hits the 0-60 mark in about 2.5 seconds, 100 mph in 5.5, and 150 mph in 9.8 seconds. Gearing the 16.4 Veyron up to 200 mph takes a whole 18.3 seconds, hitting the 250 mph mark at 42.3 seconds.
All of this power and play will cost you, however, a cool $1.3 million for the Bugatti 16.4 Veyron. At that rate, you do not want to be bothered with worrying about someone speeding off with your baby-no worries, Bugatti thought of that for you. This exotic requires a special key to “unlock” the Veyron’s top speed of 250+. The car is then lowered to a mere 3.5 inches from the ground, a hydraulic spoiler extends at speed, and it can also double as an air brake.
