The anticipated A1 order books will open on the 6th of May with prices starting at £13,145 and top out at £18,280. The Audi A1 will be available on car leasing and contract hire, contact [http://www.leasecarsdirect.co.uk] and be one of the first to own the new Audi A1. The Audi A1 offers three trim levels with prices starting at £13,145 for the Audi A1 SE, £14,945 for the A1 Sport and £16,460 for the top of the range S Line. All Audi A1 versions are also available on great lease deals. The range is both impressive and value for money. The Audi A1 Petrol version went up against the Citroen DS3 and Mini Cooper and came a close second, but Audi hope this will change with the introduction of there 1.6 TDi Version.
The Audi A1 1.6 TDi comes with the option of Amalfi White gloss with Daytona Grey roof rails and 17″ alloy wheels which makes it stand out from the rest of the range. The A1 is truly an Audi which is good news, as some manufacturers find it hard to scale down there vehicles and maintain a luxury and quality feeling. In fact every inch of the A1 oozes Audi class. On the Inside there’s no other premium supermini including the DS3, MINI or Alfa Romeo MiTo that feels as higher quality as the A1. All the switches and stalks are balanced and weighted to give that extra feel of quality. The dashboard is covered in a soft-touch material and with the pop up control screen taken from the A8 limo is the icing on the cake. Audi offer’s scope for personalisation and buyers have a choice of contrasting trims, plus a range of packs including 3D sat nav and a 20GB music system. All A1 models come with Audi’s stop-start system, air-conditioning and a six-speaker CD stereo system with iPod connectivity as standard.
With the A1 Sport version you get Bluetooth and voice activation control of the phone and radio functions while sports seats are standard too. Measuring at just under four metres long the A1 has a decent amount of legroom in the rear for two adults and even the boot is very impressive considering the size. Audi expect the 1.6 TDI diesel engine is expected to be the best-seller and around town or on the motorway the diesel shows its flexibility and with a return of 70.6mpg from the 1.6 TDi engine it should prove to cut your visits to the petrol pump down. The Audi is a bit like Doctor who’s Tardis, really small to look at but once you’re inside you would think you have stepped into a much bigger car.
