Audi Q7 Is A High-Class SUV With A Sporty Ride

Audi Q7 is a lavishly pointed premium SUV that offers the attributes of a family car in a sporty version – a three row utility car with the great on-road abilities along with the towing capabilities but without off-road style or simulation. The Q7 is carrying forward with the reshuffled power terrain of 2011 models, the 2013 model offers no V8, replacing it with a 3.0 litre supercharged V6 engine in two power levels. The base engine is rated at 280bhp with a rocking acceleration and strong throttle response, while the restructured model offers a plump of 333bhp with the strong improvement in the acceleration and throttle. A V6 TDi diesel engine rated at 240 bhp along with the toque of 407 lb-ft to tackle the Q7 package. It gives a solid fuel economy of 19 mpg in city and 28 mpg on the motorways; it is a great alternative to the gasoline burners with the plenty of fun to ride with Q7.

The Quattro all wheel drive module is standard on all models of Q7. The 3.0 TDi Audi Q7 engine is more suitable to and far less aggressive than the 4.2 litres TDi. The 3.0 litre TSFi petrol engines sound better, but do you need to revise that high? The V12 TDi all 500bhp with the torque of 737 lb-ft will blast the Q7 from 0-62 in just 5.5 seconds with a remarkable economy of 25mpg. Yes! It is powerful but why would you need that? There is no Q7 model in the range that is particularly cheap to run however the most frugal of the fleet is 3.0 TDI with 201bhp diesel engine but this is still behind the 40mpg mark of fuel economy. On the other hand the 3.0 litre petrol is worst with the combined fuel economy at the 26.4 mpg mark. It will hurt the pocket when you consider the CO2 emission rates of 189g/km to 249g/km.

The mighty Q7 combines the comfort, space and quality with the real-time driver demand. I am convinced the Q7 is an engineering led master piece that is trying to be all things to all men is a success. It offers a crunchy handling experience in a seven seater SUV with mind-blowing interior qualities and attributes with a spacey and enormous boot, remarkable for such a big car. The Q7 has an extraordinary adjustable air suspension system as standard across the fleet that manages to hustle in Q7. It is still big though you never forget its ride. Audi Q7 is equipped with an outstanding merge of infotainment and entertainment system, it gets HD radio and available satellite radio along with a revised MMI infotainment system with joystick controller and myriad functions that includes a Bluetooth connectivity also, in-car WiFi system with hotspot access, Google earth maps and local search functions.

The Q7 is turned into a rolling tech centre, the on-the-go web access enabling fly over views for the advanced navigation system, wireless gaming for the kids also added in the package. However the MMI system can be bit difficult to become skilled at; it has menus under the options but sometime on different places than you’d expect but the system is much refined and improved for its user-friendly attributes over the past years. Most of the MMI functions are now with their own buttons and switches for the easier use. The high-tech safety system is also included in the Q7 package, that package consists of dual front and side to side airbags, anti locking brakes, stability and traction control system, a lane departure warning system, blind spot warning system and a rear view camera. Visibility in general is good enough within the Q7 due to the glassy and well fitted and positioned seating positions.
