It is an upcoming model of General Motors which is expected to launch in India by 2011. It was first unveiled in 2005 at Shanghai Auto Show. The company has reported that the new sedan will be exported to other promising markets around the world. So, Indian market will also be best choice for GM as per as new sedan is concern. Recently the company has unveiled the hatchback model of Chevrolet Sail at Beijing Motor Show 2010.
Indian customers are expecting both sedan and hatchback versions – but sedan version may enter Indian market bit late where as we can expect hatchback model in the upcoming year (2011) on Indian roads. The car will be a strong competitor against Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Accent, Tata Indigo and other similar cars in home market. The newly launched sedan version of Chevrolet Sail in Chinese market is believed to be the finest car of Mileage.
Interior- It is expected to come with an awesome inside features. The car is decorated with a twin-cockpit style; the dashboard inside the car is loaded with several features such as Audio System, a radio etc. It is a five-seater with dual tone which ensures the muscular look for the car; it is very spacious where you can move your legs freely. Overall the car gives you ultimate comfort; you will not feel tired even in the long journeys. The seat adjustments and quality of leather used on the seats gives even more comfort. The Chinese model has 24 interior storage compartments to increase the comfort level, when it comes to Indian market the company has not revealed anything.
Engine- It will be available in two engine options, 1.2 liter S-TEC II and 1.4 liter S-TEC III. The 1.2 liter engine will have ability to produce utmost power of 53.1 KW per Liter and highly regarded torque value. It can get into touch with 0-100kmpl speed in just 13 seconds. The 1.4 liter S-TEC III has capacity to generate top power of KW per Liter and respectable torque value. Both the engines come with Variable Geometry Intake System (VGIS) which can help to maintain efficient torque with five speed manual transmission.
