Ford Expedition – Sport Utility Vehicle

on

The Ford Expedition is a wonderful SUV. I actually own one myself and wouldn’t trade it for anything. I have driven vans, cars and a truck and now that I have my Ford Expedition I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. This sport utility vehicle has definitely changed my life and the way my kids ride. We purchased our 2006 Ford Expedition approximately 6 months ago now. It had 63, 000 miles on it and the price was very affordable for all the features that it came with. We only paid $15, 000 thousand dollars for it. Let me tell you it was well worth it.
The new 2010 Ford Expeditions start at around $35, 000 thousand dollars and can go as high as $54, 000 depending on the features that you would like. Most of the Ford Expeditions already come equipped with AM/FM radio with CD player, air conditioner, power windows, power door locks, tilt steering wheel, cruise, automatic transmission, roof rack and 3rd row seats which seats 9 passengers comfortably.
The Ford Expedition comes with 3rd row seating that is wonderful for a family of 7; there are 9 belt buckles so we can carry the family as well as some extra people. It is nice to all be able to get in and still have extra room.
The Expedition has a smooth ride to it as well as takes curves well. Our Expedition came with a towing accessory which is wonderful because we own a boat so it is nice to be able to all get in one vehicle and tow the boat to wherever we want to go put the boat in. Before we had to take two separate vehicles.
The gas mileage has been approximately 17 miles a gallon and costs around 40-45. 00 to fill it up. The only downside or problem that I have had is that we live so far out in the country that we have to fill up sooner than I would like to. But overall it is well worth it and I can easily overlook the gas mileage because of all its other features.
All of the Expeditions come with 4 doors so it is easy to get in and out; it also has running boards for the high step up which is nice. Inside the door is also a handle so you can grab a hold as you step in.
Overall I would have to rate the Ford Expedition a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. It drives well, it has an affordable price tag and there is plenty of room that the whole family can ride and still have room. The only downfall that I have with the Ford Expedition is that with us living out in the country our drive distance is pretty far and with a bigger gas tank we have to fill up more often than I like.
