Most of us would probably check out car price at various competitive dealerships while deciding to purchase new cars. Ford Figo is an affordable hatchback car from Ford India. This car has been specially designed by Ford India to suit the family car section and is expected to give a stiff competition to Maruti Swift, Hyundai i10 and Toyota Etios Liva at a comparable price junction.
When we talk of hatchbacks, Chevrolet Beat and Ford Figo are two models that are often talked about in the same breath. Both the cars fall in the same category and price range. The Beat is a bit costlier by around 18 thousand rupees. The Beat LS has a 1.2L 79bhp S-TEC II engine, while Figo LXI comes with 1.2L 70bhp Petrol Engine. It is in the power that the Beat LS wins over the Figo with figures of 79bhp @6200rpm and torque of 108Nm @4400rpm. Figo has a power of 70bhp @6250rpm and torque of 102Nm @4000rpm. Overall it is a small car that’s quite spacious and offers ultimate safety and the cool car is a perfect fit for the Indian youth.
The Ford Figo along with the likes of Volkswagen Polo and the Maruti Suzuki WagonR are still alluring quite a big number of buyers in India. The specialty of all these cars lies in the cost. In spite of the ground-breaking technologies they carry, they are very light on the average Indian’s pocket. In fact with the entry level hatchback Figo in both Petrol and Diesel models, Ford India though has been able to increase the sales but yet to achieve a substantial share in Indian passenger car market.
While designing Ford Figo, the designers of Ford India has emphasized on its materialization more than its appearance. Apart from flawless technology it looks good. It has appealing appearance with more functionality which indulge its consumers.
The A/C of Ford Figo is quite powerful and effective. The music system and the Blue tooth connectivity with phone are good. Technical specifications of this car are of Length3795mm, Width1680mm, Height1427mm and Wheel Base2489mm.
Ford Figo safety features include electrical power door locks, strength windows, ORVMs, engine immobilizer, seat belt warning indicator and central locking ensuring safety and security. It also features a warning process which starts blinking when velocity limit is crossed, lane change indicators which blink thrice on altering the lane.
Ford Figo being available in the price range of Rs 3,49,900 – 5,29,900 Hyundai i10 has a lot to think about with the i10 coming for Rs 3,41,274 – 5,34,981. Even Maruti Swift is very close to that price tag at Rs. 3,99,987 – 5,26,647. But, it is not really possible to put a finger on one of these and declare it a winner. Price is the major concern to compare as it makes a big difference. The variants of Volkswagen Polo Petrol are at one’s disposal in the price range of 4.34 lakhs to 5.7 lakhs whereas the Ford Figo’s petrol variants are quite getable on the other hand.
