Honda used cars like there S2000 model is Honda’s only model that competes in the sports car segment of the auto industry. Actually before the S2000 was brought on to production floor, the nearest thing to a sports car that Honda had was the Honda Civic and it`s whopping 160 horsepower. This vehicle competes against such popular brands like The BMW Z3, Mercedes-Benz SLK and the Porsche Boxster just to name a few. As like so many other popular Honda models I wanted to see how this car matches up for reliability as a used vehicle to look at.

The Honda S2000 interior layout has a nice comfortable cockpit with everything close to control and a digital speedometer with an electronic bar graph tachometer that is easy to read. I looked at a 2009 model and included in the interior was a big red button that is place on the dash to start the vehicle and long center console that houses the AM-FM radio, CD player, heating and Air conditioning. The exterior includes a high-speed aerodynamic lift with 17-inch alloy wheels and high intensity discharge head lights. Overall this has a great blend of performance and style.

I could only find one fuel statistic for the Honda S2000. This roadster had a fuel rating of 11.8-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8.4-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. Also this vehicle only takes premium gasoline.

The earlier S2000 models had a four cylinder 240 horsepower engine and this could reach 9000-rpm`s. This engine is also the highest in power per volume for a none turbo or super charged production engine. Later models kept the same horsepower but replacing the engines displacement to a 2.2-litre engine. Also the torque increased to 162 pounds, per feet at 6200 rpm`s from 153 pounds, per feet at 7500 rmp`s. This vehicle comes standard with a six speed manual transmission only.

Let’s take a look at the Honda S2000 as a used vehicle to look at:

1- A leading online consumer watchdog says to look out for 2003 to 2005 models with a stuttering engine that is due to a bad manifold air pressure sensor.
2- There is a problem with water leaking into the trunk of the car.
3- The EuroNCAP gave it a four star rating for an occupant protection crash test done to it.

I hope this helps if you`re looking at Honda used cars like there S2000 model.
