The 911 Carrera 4S With Porsche GT3 Wheels and Body Kit

on

The new, seventh generation Porsche 911 dubbed the 991 has all of the classic styling with a modern twist and advanced technology that makes the German sports car so much fun to drive. It’s performance continues to be outstanding across the model lineup and it is once again a success for enthusiasts. While the 911 Carrera 4S is one of the top performers in the group, some drivers were left craving more power, performance and style from their naturally aspirated engine at the rear. One German aftermarket tuning company has been working with the new 911 since it was introduced and has showcased a new upgrade program for the 991 that includes engine modifications, suspension tweaks, body work, and new Porsche GT3 wheels.

At the rear axle sits a newly developed 3.8 liter flat six cylinder engine that the German automaker has extensively developed for the new generation of 911 models. The engine features all sorts of new technology so the aftermarket tuning engineers needed to carefully modify the motor. The team installed a new air intake system that is capable of drawing in greater amount of cold air for better performance. A new flap controlled titanium exhaust system with quad tips and 200 cell catalytic converters helps to optimize backpressure. A new software ECU tune helps crank out a few more power. After the upgrades, the engine is capable of sending a total of 435 horsepower to all four of the Porsche GT3 wheels at the front and rear axles for quicker acceleration times.

With even more power being sent to the road, the aftermarket tuning company was forced to upgrade aspects of the chassis to accommodate. The suspension with PASM was optimized with new sport springs that lower the ride height by 20 mm but do not negatively affect the factory settings. New braided brake lines aid the front and rear braking system. A set of Porsche GT3 wheels were chosen for their incredibly light weight and fitment with the upgraded center locking system on the 911 Carrera 4S. Each wheel measures 9.0 x 19 at the front and a staggered 11.0 x 19 at the rear reducing unsprung mass. The new wheels were all given high performance Michelin rubber to ensure maximum grip through turns.

The body of the new 911 Carrera 4S was optimized for performance as well. A new front spoiler lip with integrated side flics helps to generate downforce at the front axle and send air to the front radiators. The new side skirts help to calm the airflow in front of the rear Porsche GT3 wheels. At the rear is a large spoiler atop the engine cover and vents in each of the fenders to dissipate heat.
