Ferrari has recently unveiled plans for its fierce and powerful V12…family car? Oh yes, Ferrari is about to take it back with a Ferrari Hatchback supercar. This announcement has left gearheads across the globe splitting hairs.
Has Ferrari hatched a genius approach to brand versatility? This may prove to be an ideal exotic rental car for families!
The Ferrari FF hatchback will be the brand’s first 3-door and 4-wheel drive car, and will be introduced at the Geneva Auto Show in March, as confirmed recently. Codenamed the FF, it is perhaps intended to replace the discontinued Ferrari 612 Scaglietti four seater, and is certainly a drastic departure from any previous Ferrari body style.
When the FF Ferrari reaches production, it will likely take on the Scarica name, which is catchier than FF, which stands for “Four-wheel-drive and four-seater”. So let’s get down to specifications on this exotic anomaly.
The Ferrari FF hatchback packs a 6.3-liter V12 under its elongated hood, unleashing 651 prancing horses from the hatch…back. This luxury hatchback destroys the 0-60 mark in a blistering 3.7 seconds, right up there with the top competitors in luxury cars and exotic rental cars! Pretty impressive for a grocery-getter supercar!
Other features of the Ferrari hatchback include an advanced adaptive damping system courtesy of the brand’s magnetorheological shocks, carbon ceramic brakes, the first part-time all-wheel drive system and top track speeds of 335 km/h.
This Ferrari definitely has more to offer in the amenities and spacing departments, and offers them without sacrificing power…just looks! It will be interesting to see how receptive the luxury car market and exotic rental carindustry will be to Ferrari’s latest edition to their exotic stable.
I foresee Ferrari FF hatchback
going over well as a family car, as it appears to be a daily-driver, and it will also make a great Ferrari sedan rental, which looks odd even typing it out!
