The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 With COR Wheels and Tuning Upgrades

on

The new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 was an important car for the Italian automotive manufacturer. It represents an entirely new direction for the company and replaced the successful and impressive Murcielago super car that was a favorite among car enthusiasts. The new Aventador LP700-4 showcases the company’s dedication to performance through its all new engine and transmission, as well as their new philosophy of lightweight performance. One aftermarket tuning company based out of Miami, Florida wanted to take the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 to a new level of performance that utilized its new technologies. The company created a full upgrade program that includes engine modifications, chassis upgrades, new COR Wheels, and aerodynamic body work.

The sleek, wedge shaped design of the Lamborghini Aventador is one of a classic Italian super car. The shape reminds those of the iconic Countach and cars before it, while its sharp edged lines and figure emphasizes performance and power. The aftermarket team wanted to emphasize this look even more so they installed a new carbon fiber front spoiler lip that elongates the nose of the super car. Each side benefits from front fender vents, rear fender air intakes, and a set of side skirts that are placed between the front and rear forged COR Wheels. At the rear, the team installed a fixed carbon fiber wing spoiler to generate downforce. Beneath the bumper lies an extended carbon fiber diffuser that seamlessly meshes with the underbody of the Aventador LP700-4 to ensure maximum traction and stability at high speeds.

The new top speed and acceleration capabilities allowed engineers to modify the engine to take full advantage of the new body work. The newly developed, naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 engine was given a full list of modifications to improve performance drastically from the factory 690 bhp. The team installed a new stainless steel exhaust with sport catalytic converters and single, central end pipe with black ceramic coating for style. The air intake system including manifold was removed and replaced with new carbon fiber components and a ported and polished manifold for better airflow. The ECU was then given a new software program to optimize a number of parameters allowing the engine to send a total of 750 bhp and 600 lb-ft. of torque to all four new COR Wheels.

The final aspect of the Italian super car that the Miami based aftermarket tuning company focused on was the chassis. Here, they installed a new sport suspension that includes adjustable components to allow drivers to tailor their car for a given race track or for comfortable driving on the roadways. The team then installed a new set of concave COR Wheels made from lightweight forged aluminum alloy that give the super car a new style and better performance. The wheels were installed in a wide 10.0 x 20 front and 12.0 x 21 rear, staggered setup with high performance Pirelli tires for better grip and overall performance.
