One of the most sought after super cars from the United Kingdom is the Aston Martin Vanquish. The car was featured in the famous spy action thriller movies James Bond: 007, and have since been very popular in the super car scene. They offer a superb combination of classic British styling and high end performance that’s an instant hit. After going on a hiatus for five year, Aston Martin brought the Vanquish model back with a new design and even better performance coupled with a beautiful sounding V-12 engine and surrounded by aggressive styling. Due to its popularity, it is the perfect candidate for a new aftermarket tuning program, which is exactly what one German company did. The company designed a new upgrade kit that focused on creating more power in the V-12 engine, installing a new set of COR Wheels, and adding on a few other upgrades to create the perfect super car.
Beneath the hood of the Aston Martin Vanquish sits a naturally aspirated 5.9-liter V-12 engine that creates 573 PS at 6,750 RPM and 620 Newton meters of torque at 5,500 RPM. The engine is also known for its beautiful exhaust note that is both aggressive and classic; something that most automotive manufacturers are not able to achieve. The German aftermarket companies’ engineers developed a new upgrade program for the engine that would send more power to each of the rear COR Wheels. The engine was equipped with a new stainless steel exhaust system that features a set of sport catalytic converters and mufflers for better airflow, integrated valve flaps controlled by the steering wheel mounted button, and a lower weight than the factory setup. After the exhaust was installed, the Engine Control Unit was retuned with a number of different parameters to increase performance. The result was 613 PS of power and 710 Newton meters of torque being sent to each of the rear COR wheels.
After the new engine upgrade, a set of forged wheels was installed at both the front and rear axles of the Aston Martin Vanquish. The new rims were made using forged aluminum alloy and are lighter than the factory units thanks to their 3 piece design. The COR Wheels were installed in a 9 x 21 front and 12.5 x 22 rear setup with high-performance tires for better grip. The entire suspension was then lowered thanks to new sport springs that make for a 25 mm lower center of gravity. The final touch was a new front and rear spoiler set made from carbon fiber to generate downforce.
