Toyota Etios – An Elegance Beyond Thoughts

on

Toyota the largest car producer of earth is yet to gain a special place in Indian automotive market. Power, design, and great style are some of the special features that help Toyota cars in gaining edge over their rivals. After Toyota Innova, Etios is the second car that made Toyota’s presence fairly known in Indian market. Launched in 2011, Etios provided Toyota a fair entrance in entry level sedan segment. At present, Toyota offers Etios in 12 versions whose price varies from Rs.5.49 lakhs to Rs.8.24 lakhs. The on-road price range of the sedan exceed due to variation in taxes and duties across various states.

In terms of looks and style, Toyota Etios is far ahead of its competitors. Toyota excels in providing its vehicles with unmatched elegance and style which helps them in gaining a world class appeal to all their buyers. Some of the praiseworthy aspects that mark Toyota Etios exteriors are a smiling chromed grille, slender headlights, bright fog lamps, smooth crease lines which gives a premium look to its side profile, and a smart rear end marked by vertical tail lights. The slender length of the car allows it to offer an extended boot space of 595-litres which is one of the best figures in its respective segment.

Toyota Etios is one of the best cars when considered in terms of driving dynamics. The engines of the car have been tweaked in respect to Indian roads and driving conditions. The petrol version of Toyota Etios is powered by a 1.5-litre DOHC engine that delivers power worth 90PS and an interesting mileage of 17kmpl. The diesel trim on the other hand is powered by a SOHC engine that offers an appealing fuel efficiency of 24kmpl against a top power of 68PS.

The interiors of Etios have been embellished with world class finesse and features. The dual tone brown and beige interiors add another star to its classic appeal. Major comfort offerings include a strong air conditioner, larger AC vents on both ends, a simple but stylish dash board, power steering, power windows, broader seats, touch screen audio system, adjustable ORVMs, side sunvisor, remote controlled fuel lid opener, 7 bottle holders, and a few others. The safety aspect has been taken care of with standard inclusions like ABS, EBD, power steering, and a few others. The only thing that Toyota still needs to work over is its pricing strategy which still seems a bit out of reach to several potential buyers.
