Powered by a 1.6 L DOHC in-line petrol engine, Volkswagen Vento is capable to churn out maximum power of 105 Ps at 5250 rpm and max torque of 153 Nm at 3800 rpm where as the diesel one churns out top power of 105 Ps at 4400 rpm and peak torque of 250 Nm at 1500-2500 rpm. Both the engines are mated to five speed manual gearbox. Volkswagen Vento is capable to deliver ARAI certified fuel economy of 20.54 kmpl with diesel variant whereas around 12-16 kmpl with the petrol one.
For the added safety, Volkswagen has bestowed Vento with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), Height-adjustable headrests front and rear, Height-adjustable 3-point front seat belt, Dual airbags, driver and co-driver side, etc.
